Monitoring• Check your guinea pigs over regularly.• Weigh them and keep a record of weight as this cane be a good indicator of ill health and help you catch problems quickly. • Have a good rummage about in their coats and note any scaly skin, dandruff, bald a patches or thinning hair which might indicate a skin problem. • Have a look at their front teeth. Are they even? Is there anything stuck in them? If you suspect a back teeth problem see a rodent specialist. • Also check over your pets ears, eyes, bottom and paws for any signs of illness of injury. |
